Cozy Little Spot

Today has been a day of short naps for Mr. Silas.  So out came the baby bjorn carrier so I could still carry on with my mommy duties while his need to be held was resolved.  It must've been the ticket cause next thing I knew he was zonked.  What a cute little stinker.

Never a Dull Moment

I came downstairs from putting Silas down for his nap to find Lily like this. Oh, to be in the mind of a 3 year old!

Ready for Spring

Well the calendar says spring is here but it sure doesn't feel like it.  One morning last week Lily insisted on watering the plants outside.  I pointed out to her that there are no plants right now, they're all dead.  That didn't deter her, she was all about enjoying some time gardening whether it felt like spring or not! :)

For Parents with Daughters

Justin and I both thought this article was outstanding.  If you are a parent to a daughter, please take the time and read this one!  Raising Daughters In a World that Devalues Them.

Wedding Mania

Last weekend we attended 2 weddings in one night!  Our little guy barely slept a wink and was so tired by the end but we made it!  We attended the wedding ceremony of our friend, Brian and then drove to the wedding reception of our friend, Patrick.  We hope both of their marriages are blessed!

 Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Fager!
I love it when couples include a time of prayer with their close family and friends during the ceremony.  The service was beautiful!

My friend Donis was one of the bridesmaids.  Love her!

And this was the only picture I ended up taking at the 2nd one.  Whoops!

He was dressed to the nines for his first wedding!

I Wondered Why He Never Came Back Downstairs...

Daddy got a little too cozy and fell asleep at naptime with his girl.
Too sweet!

Lily's 3rd Birthday Party

The weekend after Lily turned 3, we visited family in Seymour and celebrated with a party.  Lots of pictures coming your way!.....
After lunch, Lily had the privilege of going on a tractor ride with Daddy and Papa.

She even got to pet a new baby calf!

Silas with cousin Rayna at the party.  They are about 2 1/2 months apart.
She had lots of quality time on Grandma Karen's lap

This Ain't So Bad After All

Silas was not a fan of tummy time until the last week or so.  Now as you can see, he actually enjoys it!

Oh yeah, this is a new thing too.  Drool Monster!

Bumbo Time

Here's Little Man trying out the Bumbo for the first time.  It's the only baby gear that we own that's not gender neutral....oh well, manly men can still embrace purple right?!

Rollin'

Here's Silas practicing rolling over.  It took him a few days of working hard at it and then voila! he made it all the way over on Tuesday - the day before he turned 3 months!  So, at 12 weeks old, this household just got a little more busy.

Ephesians 6:1

Now to actually apply it!

3rd Birthday Fun

We kicked off the birthday festivities on Saturday morning.  Lily kept saying "I'm so happy, I'm so happy!"  Which of course was my goal. :)  Our first stop was Carefree Patisserie in Valley Junction.  Man oh man do they have some amazing cupcakes!

Lily picked out one called "Muddy Farmer" which was caramel cake, filled w/chocolate fudge, topped with chocolate buttercream, peanuts and pecans.  Talk about delicious!  I snagged Pina Colada and just knew I had to buy the Bacon Lava cupcake to bring home to Justin.  The man goes crazy for bacon.

Next we headed to the salon to get our nails done!
Lily was so excited to choose her own color.  She went with a pink sparkly one.
Let me just say that for a girl who is always on the move, she did an excellent job of sitting still for not only the painting job but also while they dried under the warmer thingy.

Next we hit up Party City where she picked out some Hello Kitty tattoos, a sucker and a balloon.  For only a grand total of $2.50 and she was over the moon!

 Birthday dinner at Hickory Park

Loving her birthday sundae.
When the crew came out to sing to her, she looked a mixture of frightened & embarrassed.  As soon as they left she said, "I didn't like those people".  HA!

The next day we just hung out at home where she finally enjoyed her cupcake and opened presents.

 Happy Golden Birthday Lily Maren!
