- Acknowledged that Lily is a gift from God
- Committed to the responsibility of raising her to delight in the most important thing we, as humans, can invest in - an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. (not sports, a college education or prestigious career)
- Asked for God's help in this wondrous yet heavy task
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.
