Easter Weekend

Our plans for celebrating Easter were pretty much decided for us since Daddy and Lily were both sick with the crud (and still are!).  We were glad that we ended up doing no traveling and just sticking close to home base for the weekend.  Justin and I enjoyed Good Friday by watching a little bit of Passion of the Christ and sharing what God is doing in our lives.  I'm so thankful for those conversations with the man of God that is leading our family!  On Saturday evening, Justin stayed home with Lily so I could attend our church's Easter drama & service.  As always, it was amazing.  The worship at the end was incredible and I was emotional as we sang my favorite song of all time, Jesus Paid It All.  Then Sunday morning, we switched and Justin was able to go and enjoy the service as well.  Since we weren't able to see family, our good friends Jon & Kristen invited us over to their home for lunch on Easter.  These two really are like family to us and we were grateful to be in their company to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.  And Jon can bake a ham, by gosh! :)  After Lily's afternoon nap, we went outside for some fresh air & sunshine.  I think it's what the doctor ordered for our sick little girl - she has been cooped up in the house for days! Next year, we'd like to do the Resurrection Eggs with Lily.  That's one of the many things I love about being a parent - through teaching my child about Jesus, it always ends up teaching me more about Him too.  What a beautiful thing that as Christians, we truly do celebrate Easter every single day!  He is Risen!
