Birthday and Going-Away Party

Sunday afternoon we hung out at the house of our good friends, the Bentons.  They will be moving to Iowa City at the end of this month and we will miss them greatly but we know that it's a great opportunity for their family.  The party served a dual purpose - a chance to wish them well on their new endeavor and to say Happy (early) Birthday to their little boy, Ethan.  He will turn ONE in a couple of weeks!  We love you guys!

We were in a women's Bible study together that I first joined 5 years ago and these ladies became quite special to me!

It's awesome to see the Lord's plan unfold.  When we first met, these precious little babes were just a twinkle in our eyes.

Fourth of July Party

Saturday night we hosted a get-together at our house with friends.  It's always fun to get the kids together and let them run around and well, act like kids.  The men played washers while us ladies caught up on each other's lives.  The kiddos had fun splashing around the outside of the pool.  The youngest of the crew, Micah, was so cute kicking his little legs.  I think he might be the next Michael Phelps!

Easy Fix: Warmer Water = Pool Fun

I filled Lily's kiddie pool with water this morning so it would have several hours out in the sun to warm up a little.  And, voila!  Completely different story this time.  She had a blast!

I captured these when Great Grandma Karen was giving Lily some crackers.  I think I will cherish these photos for years to come!

Trav and Abby's Last Home Games

Thursday afternoon, Lily and I drove down to Seymour to watch her uncle Travis's last home baseball game.  They had a double header and it was a hot one outside so we were prepared with lots of water!  As you'll see in the pictures, Lily enjoyed being fed crackers the whole evening.  I think someone counted up the packages before we left and she had eaten 11 crackers!  She also had fun climbing on and off the golf cart.  It was a great time to hang out with family and be there to see Trav play.
Then on Friday, the girls softball team had a double header at 1 pm (on a 97 degree day no less!) but we really wanted to go see Abby (Justin's sister) play so we withstood the heat for as long as we could.  Shortly after the second game started, we had to jet because Lily was drenched with sweat and getting pretty tired from all of that running around she likes to do!
