Family Reunion

We had Justin's family reunion on Saturday and since we hadn't been able to go the past couple of years, it was long overdue seeing family members.  The day started out gloomy & rainy (praise God for a little bit of rain!) and then the skies opened up, all blue and sunny.  Lily had lots of fun playing outside and even insisted on swinging while it was raining!

And since all 3 of us are due this fall with our second child, this was a great photo opportunity!

Basketball Jones

Lately I have been really eager to play and/or watch sports (so maybe that means this little baby growing is a boy?) so we headed over to Sunset Park last night to shoot some hoops.

Lils was a hot, sweaty girl by the end.  It was time to head home for a bath!

First Movie

I decided that the $1 deal at the Jordan Creek movie theater was too good to pass up so Lily went to her first movie on Monday!  The showing was Winnie the Pooh and she did great!  I don't even remember what the preview was called but it was terrible.  We went with our friends, the Saldahnas and the Carsons and as I looked over to see Katie covering Eisley's eyes, I noticed that Lily's bottom lip was sticking out.  I asked her if she was ok and she said "I scared".  So she sat on my lap the rest of our time there.  Other than that, it was an enjoyable milestone!

Our vaulted ceiling allows lots of space for Justin to throw Lily high into the air.  She was getting such a kick out of seeing how high he could throw her the other night.

Family Fun

We designated last Saturday as "family day" on the calendar.  We had been out of town, Justin and I having separate commitments on different weekends at times and so forth for about the past month and a half so we cleared the day for just us!  We spent the morning going to the zoo, having a picnic and taking a walk at Gray's Lake.  We finished the day by going to the new Cherry Berry in town (yum!) and watching the Olympics.  It was a great day and beautiful temps in the 70's to top it off!
