Simple Pleasures of Fall

Unlike most people, fall is not my favorite season of the year.  However, there are a few things that I like to enjoy when this time of year rolls around.  It shifts kissing summer temperatures good-bye from bummer to bittersweet.

Here are a handful of simple pleasures that I'm delighting in right now.

Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks
I finally tried one this year.  Yum.
And yes, I'm well aware that I'm behind the times.

 Baked Pumpkin Spice Donut Holes
Healthy?  No.  Delicious?  Yes!

I love that I only spent $3 on this centerpiece.  We already had the vase, I collected some pretty fall leaves from our front yard, picked up a gold pillar candle at Michael's and, voila!, a seasonal centerpiece to adorn our dinner table.

Autumn Spice candle by harvest home - found at Hobby Lobby
This is the perfect autumn scent - so warm and inviting.

Last but certainly not least - in fact it's probably my favorite -
Hot Cranberry Apple Cider.
I tend to make this several times in the fall/winter season and it always makes me feel cozy!  It's so good (yet easy) that I just have to share the recipe with you.

1 qt. cranberry juice
2 qt. apple cider
4-5 cinnamon sticks
1/2 C brown sugar
1 t allspice

Combine and heat in crockpot - on low.  Enjoy a cup, or two or three with the ones you love! :)

What are your favorite fall indulgences?
